The finals of the Club Tournament
were held on Saturday 6th September. The rain stayed away until the
turn of the Men’s Doubles, which went three sets in the very worst of
conditions – believe me you had to be there to appreciate just how hard
it was raining and the depth of surface water on the astro. Well done
to Stewart & Mark, Jeremy & Jarrod for staying out on court and
having a tremendous battle in awful conditions. The five spectators who
stayed on to the bitter end really enjoyed the play and your suffering.
